Police and residents recently worked together to rescue a giant snake that managed to wrap itself around the engine block of a vehicle in Connecticut.
On Thursday, the East Windsor Police Department told Channel3000.com that the snake, which was 6 feet in length and most likely a boa constrictor, had to be removed from a resident’s car. East Windsor Police Department captured the rescue operation in a video and shared it to Facebook, which received more than 30,000 views so far.
“It is likely someone’s pet that got out in the area, but for now, it will be taken to a wildlife center,” the East Windsor Police Department wrote below the video. “Thank you to all those who helped us remove the snake. Not exactly the call we were expecting today.”
Authorities aren’t sure how the snake ended up in the vehicle in the first place, however, some police officers and residents were able to remove the snake from the car and safely put it into a crate. The reptile was then transported to a wildlife center following the incident.
