Gary Gets ‘Snailnapped’ in ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run’

SpongeBob SquarePants and the Bikini Bottom gang are back in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, a new film coming to theaters in 2020.

In the movie, Gary, SpongeBob’s beloved pet, mysteriously disappears from his pineapple home. After a failed search operation, SpongeBob and his BFF, Patrick Star, go on an epic adventure to find the cute sea snail.

SpongeBob and Patrick Star venture beyond the Krusty Krab’s borders, where they meet a Keanu Reeves-tumbleweed hybrid named “Sage” (yes, this actually went down in the trailer) and travel to the lost city of “Atlantic City,” where Patrick Star learns to never bet on an L…err…the number seven.

It’s unclear where Gary is at this point, but hopefully, the duo can find him again.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which stars Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, and Awkwafina, will hit theaters sometime next year.
