An enormous bear nicknamed “T-Shirt” was recently trapped in a dumpster and California deputies had to help him get out of the tight space.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office captured the incident on camera and it shows two police officers assisting the distressed animal in Kings Beach, California, on Nov. 4. Deputies had to carefully open the dumpster’s lid, so the bear could safely climb out, the Daily News reported.
T-Shirt is a “local celebrity,” according to The Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
“He is a local bear and has had prior run-ins with our deputies,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post. “They named him ‘T-Shirt’ because of the white patch of fur on his chest.”
After a few tries, T-Shirt was able to safely get out of the small enclosure and walk away without injuries.
