A jogger is being called a hero after she rescued a trapped deer at Stone Mountain Park in DeKalb County, Georgia.
Chloe Dorsey was on a morning run when she spotted a female deer stuck between the bars of a fence on September 17, The New York Post reported. With no one in sight, Dorsey helped the distressed animal and uploaded footage of the intense encounter on Instagram, where she received more than 90,000 views.
The video shows Dorsey calming down the scared animal, as she bends the metal bars open and frees the deer. However, the rescue operation was not done yet: The deer immediately become stuck in another fence.
“What is wrong with this girl here,” Dorsey said in the footage. “You need to learn how to jump, boo.”
Dorsey then went to help the deer a second time, but this fence was more sturdy than the last one. Dorsey struggled to separate the bars again and when she leaped over the fence, the deer was able to safely escape.
Instagram users praised Dorsey, who jokingly called herself “Save-A-Doe, Chlo” for her good deed.
“You’re a champ,” someone wrote below the video. “I laughed so hard at the faint, ‘Somebody help.'”
Another commented, “LOL somebody gotta teach you how to jump, good job.”
