We rock babies to sleep, so why not adults?
That’s what one Belgian manufacturer wondered when it dreamt up Adiva One—”the ultimate sleep and relaxation platform.”
A sort of proto-“smart bed,” the system consists of four supporting legs that attach to most beds or sofas to apply a slow, oscillating motion.
Like a hammock swaying in the wind or the rhythmic waves of a boat, Adiva One provides a calming effect that encourages a deep, restorative sleep.
And it can be yours for the early-bird price of $1,499 (more than half off the retail cost).
The four legs—easily retrofitted to any bed frame—come with a remote control and two wired motion sensors that clip on your mattress. Users can also manage the device via a compatible smartphone app or an Amazon Alexa.

An integrated command unit, according to Adiva, monitors and analyzes user sleep cycles, automatically adjusting speed and intensity to “promote and maintain deep sleep.”
“Adiva proposes to improve sleep quality by facilitating the onset of sleep and enhancing the sleep depth, ultimately making the most out of those limited number of hours that you sleep,” the product page said.
Based on various studies, Adiva One claims to improve short- and long-term memory; reduce health risks like diabetes, depression, heart disease, and stroke; and optimize your physical performance.
Adiva One, available to pre-order from Indiegogo, comes in five colors: grey, beige, white, brown, black.
As of press time, only two backers have reserved their gadget—expected to ship worldwide in April. But the campaign will need a lot more support to meet its $55,000 fixed goal in 40 days.
Otherwise you’ll be rocking yourself to sleep at night.
