King Henry V may sound like other monarchs in the history books, but there is more to his story. Timothée Chalamet plays the young royal in Netflix’s The King, which follows his power moves during a grueling war period.

The final trailer for The King emphasizes King Henry V’s struggles, as he is forced to navigate palace politics and come face-to-face with The Dauphin of France (played by Robert Pattinson), who wants to conquer more of Europe. On top of all of this, the young monarch is unsure of who to trust while he tries to protect the crown’s interests.

“A king has no friends, only followers and foe,” Sir John Falstaff (Joel Edgerton) tells King Henry V in a private conversation.

King Henry V is starting a new life, where he’s not drinking or goofing around anymore. His father’s enemies are now his, even though he doesn’t want anything to do with France. But, the young king will rise up and command an army to meet the The Dauphin of France and his men at the frontlines.

Is it enough though to stop the Hundred Years’ War? You’ll have to watch The King to find out.

The King hits select theaters on Oct. 24 and lands on Netflix Nov. 1.
