Margot Robbie plays a strong-headed Harley Quinn in the movie Birds of Prey, while Hulu’s Castle Rock sets up a story for Stephen King’s chilling Annie Wilkes. From Universal Pictures’ World War I drama 1917 to HBO’s fantasy series His Dark Materials, here are the top movie and TV shows to keep on your radar.

Birds of Prey

Some of the ladies in Gotham City are tired of the way things are and Birds of Prey highlights Harley Quinn and her badass squad who go after the Joker. Margot Robbie leads the cast of this film, which hits theaters on February 7, 2020.

Eli

A boy with a mysterious autoimmune disorder is taken to a creepy mansion retreat in the thriller Eli. When he realizes that he’s living in a haunted residence, he has to find a way to save him and his family from evil caretakers and spirits. Eli is coming to Netflix on October 18.

6 Underground

Ryan Reynolds leads a team of vigilantes who go after baddies in 6 Underground, which comes to Netflix on December 13. Directed by Michael Bay, this action flick features lots of action, car chases, and dynamite.

Castle Rock

Lizzy Caplan plays a killer psychiatric nurse in Season 2 of Castle Rock. Stephen King’s Misery story comes to life in this eerie series, which returns to Hulu on October 23.

The King’s Man

History’s worst criminal masterminds are coming together to wipe out humanity in the movie The King’s Man. The first independence intelligence agency is going after these grotesque figures in this suspenseful film, which hits theaters in February.

I Lost My Body

I Lost My Body is not your typical animated movie: The strange tale follows a severed hand, which manages to escape from a Paris-based laboratory and aims to reconnect with its original owner. I Lost My Body is premiering on Netflix on November 29.

His Dark Materials

Parallel universes and armored polar bears? Let’s go. His Dark Materials, a fantasy series about a young girl who goes on a bizarre adventure to find her missing friend, is airing on HBO on November 4.

1917

It’s the First World War, and two soldiers are ordered to deliver an important message to prevent a massacre in the combat-focused film 1917. The movie, which stars Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman and Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay, hits theaters in December.
