One of the more unexpected sneaker deal signings of 2019 came in the form of streaming juggernaut (seriously, the single most popular streamer in the world) Ninja signing an endorsement deal with adidas a few months ago. The deal was set to include a line of signature sneakers and apparel, the first of which has finally been announced.

Adidas and Ninja’s first sneaker together is the “Time In” Nite Jogger. While the original shoe debuted in the 1980s, the updated and modernized Nite Jogger hit stores earlier this year and features a chunky Boost sole with a techy upper comprised of a number of fabrics and materials. From the jump it was marketed as being a shoe inspired by late-night grinders, people who are putting hours in at their crafts and passions deep into the evening.

Appropriately, that same ethos is the inspiration behind Ninja’s first shoe with the brand. The “Time In” pays homage to creators of any and all sorts around the world who are putting the titular “time in†to their craft, honing it and getting better every day. When discussing the resonance of the shoe to him, Ninja said, “If a kid from Chicago who just loves playing video games can collaborate with one of the sporting world’s most iconic brands to launch a shoe together, anything is truly possible.â€Â

Ninja’s “Time In” Nite Jogger features a grey and blue upper, the blue being comprised of mesh while the grey is a lush suede. A traditional gum sole rests at the bottom of the signature Boost material. The shoe’s inner is a bright yellow, while the gamer’s massive logo adorns the inner-facing part of each upper. It’s capped off with the traditional Nite Jogger reflective paneling on the brand’s classic Three Stripes on the sides.

The shoe will be released, appropriately, on Dec. 31, just in time for the new year. There’s no better ethos to ring in your 2020 with if you’re a person putting the Time In to what you love (or if you’re just a fan of Ninja). Hit up adidas’s official website for more details and to pick up the shoe on the 31st.
