The Vatican is launching a sleek “Click to Pray” eRosary and it is a wearable device designed to teach people about the Catholic Church.
The eRosary, which is connected to a smartphone app, can be activated by making the sign of the cross, Engadget reported. Made up of 10 black agate and hematite rosary beads and a “smart cross” that stores data, the wearable device can be worn as a bracelet and enables individuals to pray on the go.

Using the eRosary is easy: Turn it on by making the sign of the cross and then choose to pray one of three different rosaries: the standard rosary, a contemplative rosary, or a thematic rosary, which will be frequently updated by the Catholic Church. The wearable device keeps track of completed rosaries and documents progress on prayers. Plus, users can listen to the Gospel via an audioguide on the smartphone app.

Another important feature to note is that the eRosary also acts as a virtual health assistant. It can record health data and give health data on-demand, so users can simultaneously keep tabs on their wellness and spirituality goals.
The eRosary, which retails for $110, is available for pre-order at Amazon and Acer’s online store.
