‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Graphics Card Feels Appropriately Cyberpunk

Right now we’re all still pretty bummed out that Cyberpunk 2077 is further away than initially expected. We started 2020 ready to play CD Projekt Red’s lavish sci-fi RPG/Keanu Reeves dating simulator in April. But thanks to a delay we have to wait until September to chip in.

Fortunately, CD Projekt Red has been parcelling out good news to keep us distracted while we twiddle our metal thumbs. The ambitious Nintendo Switch port of The Witcher 3 just got updated with cross-save support, so you can enjoy the game on the go while also getting the best PC graphics at home. And what better way to get those great PC graphics than with a custom Cyberpunk 2077 graphics card?

Initially teased in a Twitter conversation between brands (itself a very cyberpunk concept) Nvidia and CD Projekt Red have partnered to create a custom GPU plucked straight out of the world of the game. This GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has stylish yellow and black AL5052 aluminum shroud. Ideally, it should be powerful enough to run the cutting-edge game on its highest settings. But it’s so pretty and rare that we would be hesitant to actually put this in our rigs.

How rare is this card? Only 200 will be made. And you won’t be able to directly buy them. Many will be auctioned off for charity. Nvidia is giving the rest away in a sweepstakes to Twitter users who compliment their gamer friends with the hashtag #RTXOn. This also all feels like something from a cyberpunk future, albeit a friendlier one.
