After a two-year wait, Westworld is almost back to claim its prestige HBO birthright in a post-Game of Thrones premium television landscape.

Check out the latest trailer for The New World of humans a robots and historical roleplay that’s less than a month away in Westworld season 3.

While millions of viewers tuned in to the final episode of Game of Thrones, HBO dropped a trailer for the third season of the sci-fi series Westworld (hoping to hook some Westeros watchers, perhaps?) and it provides a glimpse of what looks like an entirely different show — complete with new star Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad).

While still populated with futuristic robots, the trailer teases a seemingly completely new world, with sleek, flying cars, and robots that don’t look like people. There’s not a familiar face to be found, until the final moments, that is, when Paul’s character can be seen spotting a distressed Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood).

Soundtracked to Pink Floyd’s “Brain Damage,” the trailer also briefly shows new cast members Lena Waithe and Vincent Cassel. It’s dark, eerie, and hints at the discovery of something sinister.

“They said they would make a better world — smooth away the rough edges,” said Paul’s voiceover. “But that was a lie. I guess the rough edges are the only thing I’m hanging onto.”

HBO has yet to confirm when in 2020 Westworld’s third season (or as HBO titled it in the trailer — Westworld III) will air, but at least we have something to look forward to, post-Iron Throne.
