Pigeons wearing tiny cowboy hats are roaming around Las Vegas and nobody knows why the birds are all dressed up.
Bobby Lee, a Las Vegas resident, recently posted pictures of the pigeons walking around a neighborhood. The bizarre photos went viral and a few days later, other people spotted the feathered duo in the area.
The birds, which were nicknamed Cluck Norris and Coolamity Jane, are now local celebrities, but the community is concerned about their health and safety, ABC News noted.
Lofty Hopes, a local bird-rescue charity, has offered to track and find the pigeons, so they can carefully take off the hats that were glued to their heads.
“Today we received a new video of Cluck Norris and a new lead on who may be attaching hats to pigeons heads. We will be out investigating and setting another trap in the area. This morning the trap was empty,” Lofty Hopes wrote below a Facebook video on Dec. 11. “We will check again soon. Stay tuned for any updates on Cluck Norris and Coolamity Jane.”
The group is asking the public to not feed the pigeons, since they will need the birds to be hungry for an efficient rescue operation.
Cluck Norris and Coolamity Jane already have a “wanted” poster, so hopefully they’ll be found soon.
