Greta Thunberg made strong statements at the World Economic Forum (WEF) today and slammed global leaders for not taking enough action against climate change.
The teen activist, who spoke at the conference in Davos, Switzerland, called for the reduction of carbon emissions and urged people to see the climate crisis from a bigger perspective.
“Pretty much nothing has been done since the global emissions of CO2 has not reduced,” Thunberg said at the World Economic Forum. “[I]f you see it from that aspect, what has concretely been done, if you see it from a bigger perspective, basically nothing … it will require much more than this, this is just the very beginning.”
At the conference, Thunberg discussed the findings of a 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, which showed that carbon emissions need to be cut to reduce the rise in global temperatures.
“Our house is still on fire. Your inaction is fueling the flames by the hour. And we are telling you to act as if you loved your children above all else.”

Despite recent environmental issues, including the Australian bushfires and record-breaking temperatures, some international leaders are still not addressing climate change efficiently. And Thunberg will not give up her fight for a better planet.
“Our house is still on fire,” Thunberg explained. “Your inaction is fueling the flames by the hour, and we are telling you to act as if you loved your children above all else.”
