Australia’s bushfire catastrophe has burned natural habitats, destroyed residences, and taken the lives of citizens.
Almost half a billion animals have been impacted by the bushfires and millions are feared dead, according to University of Sydney ecologists. Officials have also taken legal action against more than 180 people for deliberately starting fires during the 2019/2020 bushfire season.
The bushfires, which were mostly a result of extreme heat, are still scorching parts of New South Wales. Approximately 2,700 firefighters are combating flames in the area, and more will arrive from the U.S. later this week. Here’s how you can help everyone affected by the bushfires in Australia.
