It’s finally the weekend, which means it’s time to binge-watch some documentaries, TV shows, and films on Netflix. With so many good options available, deciding what to stream can be tough. To help you get started, we’ve picked the top six flicks to see on Netflix from January 3 to January 5. Eerie folklore, dragons, and flawed social media will keep you glued to your screen from today to Sunday.
Ghost Stories
Are you afraid of the dark? You may not want to watch Ghost Stories. The film, which features four different horror stories, will give you the creeps: undead relatives, blood-hungry monsters, and spirits await.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
A shattered fellowship tries to protect Gondor in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Aragorn, Gandalf, and their crew have to save Middle-earth from evil in this suspenseful film.
The Circle
The Circle is a new reality TV competition that will leave you second-guessing social media: When a group of people are invited to be “someone” online, they’re only allowed to communicate on the platform and not face-to-face. When $100,000 is up for grabs though, it’s up to the competitors to shake up the experiment.
Thieves of the Wood
Go back in time and witness a fight against corruption in Thieves of the Wood. The series follows highwayman Jan de Lichte, who’s in charge of an uprising that aims to take down sinister aristocrats in 18th century Flanders.
Sex, Explained
This is not your sex ed class: Sex, Explained, a new documentary series on Netflix, explores birth control, infertility, biological attraction, and other “mystery of life” topics from a fun perspective.
Dragonheart
A knight and the last fire-breather on Earth team up in the 90s flick Dragonheart. A love-hate relationship turns into a friendship after the pair realize they need to take down a power-hungry monarch.
