Social media users are slamming a Bronx Zoo visitor after they were caught entering a lion enclosure over the weekend.

A video, which was taken at the New York-based zoo, appears to show the woman standing in front of the animal and taunting it. No one knows how the woman climbed into the area, but the lion was unamused by her behavior, NBC News reported.

The Bronx Zoo confirmed that the incident occurred on Saturday, however, they did not release the name of the visitor. Fortunately, the lion did not attack her.

“This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death,” said a statement from the Bronx Zoo obtained by NBC News. “Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”

Instagram users were also annoyed at the woman’s actions and called her out for endangering the lion.

“The lion is obviously way smarter than she is,” one person wrote.

Someone else replied, “WTF is wrong [with] this chick even the lion doesn’t want to be bothered with her.”
