Gretel & Hansel, an eerie film based on the story by the Brothers Grimm, just debuted its official trailer and it’s terrifying. Once the pair meet the woman with an appetite for children, they have to find a way to outsmart her before its too late.
At first, the old lady is nice: She welcomes them into her home and feeds them a huge feast. Then, things take a turn for the worse: Hansel and Gretel start seeing visions, finding corpses, and discovering that their “caretaker” might have them on the dinner table next.
Gretel & Hansel, which stars Sophia Lillis and Alice Krige, hits theaters on Jan. 31.
