With the recent announcement of the cast for the new The Little Mermaid, and with the The Lion King remake making over a billion dollars worldwide, Disney is fueling even more excitement for all the classic movies of your childhood by dropping a brand new trailer of Mulan.
Disney premiered the first full trailer for the live-action remake of the 1998 animated film during halftime of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The timing was appropriate since the gorgeous, 90-second clip spotlights a fierce warrior’s adventure.
Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei is featured in the titular role of Mulan, and the trailer teases epic fights, beautiful costumes, and gorgeous settings.
From the footage, it seems that Disney has downplayed the musical aspects of the original animated adaptation, although fans will no doubt notice notes of the classic “Honor to Us All” playing over one scene.
Disney also released a first poster for the film.

Mulan hits theaters on March 27, 2020.
