A new generation sports proton packs and hunts spirits in the movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Directed by Jason Reitman, the film follows a single mom (Carrie Coon) and her two kids (Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace), who move to a rural town and discover spooky secrets about their grandfather’s house.
Paul Rudd also stars in the movie as a teacher and original Ghostbusters cast members, including Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver, may make appearances as well.
When one of the kiddos finds a ghost trap in their living room, things start to take a creepy turn: The siblings find proton packs, suits, and an Ecto-1 automobile on the property. It all doesn’t make sense at first until Rudd’s character points out their cool connection to the original Ghostbusters. (I’m not crying, you’re crying.)
Amid tracing their family history, the pair realize that their town’s unexplainable “earthquakes” may be tied to a batch of phantoms haunting the area. Armed with some high-tech equipment, the pair go after the invisible beings responsible for years of damage.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife hits theaters on July 10, 2020.
