Geralt of Rivia hates destiny, but it takes him on a magical, dark, and eerie journey in the fantasy series The Witcher.
The TV show, which stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan, is coming to Netflix next week. Even though we have a rough idea of the plot (thanks to The Witcher book series and video game series), a final trailer gave us more details on what’s to come for the powerful trio and the greater evil they’re up against.
Monster hunter Geralt of Rivia tries to find Ciri, who he thinks is not safe. Ciri, who also has a secret fate, runs away to find Geralt of Rivia, but the trip won’t be easy. Especially when you have a giant army and dark spells coming after you.
Then there’s Yennefer, a beautiful sorceress who is never satisfied with what she has. She desires to take over the world, but of course, she’s also pulled into Geralt of Rivia’s mission, and may be able to help along the way.
Can they defeat what’s ahead? It’s hard to tell, but they may be able to restore the universe again.
The Witcher premieres on Netflix Dec. 20.
